Our Trip to the Zoo

This past weekend, we took Meghan to the zoo in San Antonio. I had in my mind that it was going to be a lot of fun. Meghan didn't really think so. She was pretty cranky the whole trip, but thought that some of the animals were okay. Her favorite were "the mangos" which translates into flamingos.

You can't really tell, but she was laughing here. There is a small puddle of water right behind her, and she had a grand time stomping in it. This was the highlight of her trip to the zoo.

She's growing up so fast!

When we were standing there, the elephant decided that he needed to tee tee. Meghan looked at him, then looked at Jason and gasped. She said, "It's raining!" Oh, kids are so funny.

It's Been a While...

I'm admittedly not the greatest person in the world about updates. Here are some pictures over the last couple of months.

This is Meghan playing with her bathtub Crayons. Thanks, MiMi! This is just one of her many funny faces.

This is Meghan on our way to get her first haircut. Poor baby, her bangs were so long. They were in her face all the time. We took her to the JCPenney salon, and a person named Christopher who was dressed as a woman cut her hair. It was a pretty funny, and memorable, experience. And this is Meghan after her haircut.

Her bangs were so short, I couldn't look at her without laughing for a couple of weeks!

Here Jason is helping Mugz (her nickname) play the guitar. She is very proud of herself and thinks she is great!

We recently got a turtle sandbox to play in. We had no idea how much she would love it. She calls her bucket "the dumpster" for some reason. She's always "putting dirt in the dumpster." Haha.

That's all for now. More to come... Promise!

Jumping on the Bandwagon

Well, I have decided to jump on the bandwagon and start blogging! A quick update for those of you who don't know:
Jason & I have a daughter, Meghan, who is 16 months old. Jason works for Apache, an oil company, as their regional IT guy. I'm working at University Medical Center on the postpartum/newborn nursery floor. I'm in my last year of Grad school, and will be finished with the Nurse Practitioner program in August. We are all looking very forward to me getting out of school and getting on with life!

Here are some recent pictures of Meghan--we took them last week, and are very happy with the results. Despite her being very uncooperative most of the time, they turned out pretty good....
